Meeting native speakers
In May we got visitors from far away. We all were very excited when we realized that Mr. Scott and Mrs. Sherry Morningstar from Montana would come to our class.
We have already enjoyed an English lesson with them last year and looked forward to meeting them a second time. It was amazing!
Mr. and Mrs. Morningstar talked to us about their trip to Yosemite National Park and showed us stunning pictures. The entire class was amazed by the nature’s beauty.
Scott explained that some people assumed that the National Parks there wouldn’t have any mountains but all the photos proved otherwise.
The most beautiful picture was the one of the so called ‘Firefall’, a breathtaking sight in Yosemite. It’s the Horsetail Waterfall but at sunsets in February the sun hits the water and spray at just the right angle and colours it orange. So you get the illusion that the waterfall would glow and set on fire.
We were allowed to ask many questions and Sherry and Scott answered them very patiently.
We hope we’ll see Sherry and Scott again next year, as their presence lit up our day and we got to know new facts about the USA again.
