Meeting native speakers
On March, 10th we experienced an amazing surprise:
Sherri and Scott Morningstar came back to our class!
I always wanted to see them again, so it was even a better surprise for me.
They both come from America, exactly from Bozeman, Montana.
Last June they told us more about themselves and where they live, which I found interesting.
This year they came earlier because their oldest granddaughter is graduating this May, and they want to attend the event with her.
Also, they told us about the National Parks in America and the amount of people who visit them every year.
They showed us many pictures of the parks they’ve been to and told us about their experiences, which I found interesting again.
Some of my classmates asked them questions, and they were glad to answer them.
One of these questions was about the worst dish they had ever eaten in Austria.
They told us that they hadn’t run into a bad dish yet and everything had been tasty so far!
By the way, I forgot to mention that we only spoke English for a whole lesson, which made sense since we had a conversation with native speakers after all.
All the pictures they showed us were stunning, but there was one sight that will stay in my memory forever. It’s situated in the Yosemite National Park! It’s a waterfall that looks just like a lava flow at sunsets in February! It’s so majestic!
This was a very nice and productive lesson, and I really hope that Scott and Sherri will come to us next year too, so we can learn more about America and its culture. They are so friendly and patient and it was a pleasure to have them at our class!
